been praying for over 35 years. keep kicking the doubt out but it feels like i've been forgotten, dis-illusioned and that Jesus just doesn't want me. I pray that everyone who seeks Christ will receive the love that only He can provide and that someday I will be on the receiving end of His love also. Hopefully, before He calls me !

"Everything Is Possible"

How many times have you and I encountered a situation and felt, "there's no way out"? How many times do the burdens of life become so overwhelming and we feel we just cannot endure another problem. Bills are due, love ones are ill, spouses are unreasonable, jobs are few and far between, and the needs far outweigh the solutions. We are tired, we are stressed, we are lonely, we are sad, and we don't see a end to our pain. We wait for help to come, we beg, we plead, we try to reason or justify our situation, but the difficulty remains.

We experience problems that present themselves not only as difficult situations, but impossible situations. The doctor says there is no hope, the electric company will not wait, the eviction notice has been served, the bank account is overdrawn, and there is no food to feed your family. Difficult situations, but not impossible to overcome, even doctors can be wrong.

Lets take a moment and consider what the Lord can do. The Bible tells us of an incident where Jesus was speaking to a crowd which included 5000 men, this number does not account for the women and children that were also present. This was a big crowd that had listened to Jesus speak for most of the day and the crowd became hungry, but did not want to leave. The disciples told Jesus the people were hungry, and His response was, "feed them".

FEED THEM! Now this was a difficult situation that seemed impossible to solve! The only food available was from a boy who had little to offer, but the willingness to share. The boy had 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish, and the disciples knew that this would not feed this multitude of people, but they forgot they were with the One who could make the impossible become possible. All it took was a prayer and some faith and the crowd was fed. In fact after the crowd ate there was more left over then what they has originally began with. Now that is making the impossible, POSSIBLE!

Maybe some of you are in an "impossible" situation. The need far exceeds the resources. The strain and pressure far exceeds your strength. The dilemma seems beyond your reason, or intellect. Yet, we must remind ourselves, that which may be impossible to man, is possible to God.

Two things I ask you to remember. First, if God allowed the situation into your life, He knows that you can handle it. Second, it takes an impossible situation to see a miracle. WE SERVE A MIRACLE WORKING GOD! If we never had a problem, we would never know that God can solve it. Please, allow the One who can make the impossible become possible into your situation. It starts with a prayer and some faith. God will increase your faith, listen to your request, and do what He does best, which is make the impossible, POSSIBLE!

GOD BLESS

Chris,
Although you think of yourself as ordinary you are actually extraordinary and I know many that know you would agree with me. I did not know you when your struggle began but Ive come to know you in the middle of it and support you with prayer and belief that you are going to fight and overcome this battle with cancer. Its especially disheartening when a healthy, young person with so much to live for is diagnoised as you were, and you wonder why..I know that its completedly normal to go through all the stages of anger, depression and disbief when you are told something so terrible, yet you managed to pull yourself up and find GOD and his greatness through it all, and are using it still to minister to others that are experiencing valleys right now. I know that God doesnt always answer our prayers the way we think he should but he does answer and I am so glad that he brought upon a blessing on your life and allowed you to experience love and marriage when you felt that all you had to look forward to was dying..I thank God I was able to get to know you and learn more about your life, your experiences and the way you encourage others with your honesty and committment to Christ.
thank you so much for sharing your story and I agree with you wholeheartedly in saying It aint over til its over..how very true.
Love in christ

I have been told for several months that I am terminally ill. Which means I have an incurable condition that will lead to death! I was told not to expect to live beyond six months One day I was fine and with one diagnosis my world changed.
I never imagined that I could have anything seriously wrong, because I was to young, I ate right, did not drink, and worked out daily.
I had just graduated college and had a long life ahead of me. In fact I had not even began to live, and the thought of dying never crossed my mind.
I just thought that my lack of energy and the pain I felt in my back were due to the stress I was going through from the recent death of my mother, and working out to much.
I IGNORED the obvious changes in my body and waited to get better. Finally, after I could no longer cope with the pain I went to see the doctor.
A routine doctors visit turned in to multiple test, scans, and biopsies, and then that dreaded word was said, CANCER! Not only was it cancer it was pancreas cancer, you know the cancer that is the hardest to cure and delivers the most pain.
Here I was thinking I was a healthy 21 year old man one day and then found out the next day that was body had turned against me.
I lived right, served the Lord , and was even called into the ministry. I thought this had to be a mistake, there is no way God would call me to the ministry, prepare me for it, and then take my life. I fell into a deep depression that took me a while to work through, and I became angry with God.
Finally, after many days of dwelling in self-pity and blaming God for this disease I realized I could live the remainder of my life miserable, or I could grasp every second of joy that it offered. I decided, with the help of the Lord, to greet each day as if it would be the best I had ever lived. I looked for opportunities to encourage others, I prayed harder then I ever did before, I sought the beauty in God's creation, and I made sure that those close to me knew I loved them. I never went to bed at night with anger, and I never started a day without talking to the Lord.
I chose not to have chemo therapy, or surgeries because I took the advice of my doctor and believed there was nothing else that could be done. I accepted the fact that death was near, and I watched my body change each day. I went from being a healthy young man to being a shell of a person with no hope for a future. The way I reacted to the cancer was the beginning of the end for me.
Depression and anxiety began to set in. The loss of control was taking its toll on my emotional health. Functioning normally was impossible when everything about my life has been tainted by the knowledge that time may be short.
I felt powerless and needed something to help me gain some control over this disease. I tried to be happy, but inside I was grieving so much for myself that I forgot that I serve a God who is in the business of performing miracles! I did not want to give up, but time was running out. I started looking for ways to manage my symptoms and began to open my mind about treatments that could result in an extension of my life.
I did nothing wrong to get this disease, it just happened, but I was wrong in not seeking medical help when the symptoms began, wrong in not getting a second opinion, and wrong in accepting death without a fight. So, I encourage anyone that feels ill, to see a doctor. And, if you are one of the unfortunate ones that is told nothing else can be done don't accept it, your life is not over until you take that last breathe, and you need to fight for your life. "It ain't over till its over."
After much prayer I realized it was up to me to be my own advocate. I had to quit accepting the worse and rely on God for a miracle. It was time to stop focusing just on the cancer and spend more of my time focusing on living. I decide to try some experimental medications. I continued to pray that the Lord would heal me and lead me in the right direction.
I started seeing another doctor who also believed my life was ending, but did support my willingness to fight and sent me to a surgeon who is known for being extraordinary! I felt hope again, my faith was strong, and God was leading. "It ain't over till its over."
I was offered the opportunity to have a procedure done that is usually successful if the cancer is caught in the early stages , but the risk for me was high because I was at stage 4. I had no choice God had sent me a solution. I agreed to the surgery and found peace in my decision.
In the process of the illness I feel in love with my best friend, and we married 3 days before the surgery. God was answering my prayers and giving me the desires of my heart in spite of what satan was trying to do to me. I was already starting to experience the life that I thought I would never have. "It ain't over till its over."
It's now been about 4 weeks since my operation, and I am doing well. I still have a long process to go through, but each day comes with additional hope that the surgery was a success. My beautiful wife and I are enjoying being married and are making plans for our future. It will take some time before we know just how successful the surgery was, but I believe I am experiencing a miracle.
I shared my story in hopes to encourage those of you who feel there is no hope, that hope is within us. To encourage those who are told that nothing can be done to seek another opinion. To encourage those who feel ill to seek medical treatment in order to catch a disease early. To encourage everyone to be their own advocate, we know our bodies and we need to keep seeking help until we find a doctor who will listen. And, above all to encourage you to go to the Lord and believe in His healing power. "It ain't over till its over."
Being told that I was terminally ill changed my life. I was in the valley for a long time, but I am beginning to see the mountain top. Being told that I was going to die caused me to fight for my life and is helping me be a better person. God is turning things around for me, and He can do the same for you. No matter how bad things may appear try and have faith that the Lord loves you and wants the best for you. Grab a hold of Him and hang on tight. Pray for strength, wisdom, and a miracle. Regardless of your circumstances God does want to bless you. If you are in the valley ask the Lord to carry you to your mountain top. Don't give up on yourself and remember, "It ain't over till its over."

GOD BLESS

Hello Fredrick,

I saw your post about you having dental work done, my boyfriend patrick needs all of his teeth pulled out, but last week he started to get like an abscess on top of his gums in the front of his 3 teeth, he went to the ER cause he was in so much pain, but they didn't do anything for him, they just told him to go see a dentist asap. Well he went to aspen dental and they did xrays and looked at his teeth, and they wouldn't do anything because they wanted him to open up a medical line of credit, and we don't have the money to do that, so it was going to cost like $5000.00 to get his teeth done, and we have the access plus for right now, but for some reason they cut the pharmacy and dental part of it, for which reason, i have no idea, and he just started a job, and his insurance isn't going to kick in for awhile, and he is in alot of pain, constantly popping ibuprofen 800's and i wanted to ask you if you had any suggestions?

Will You give this to my Daddy?

I read this earlier today and I just wanted to post it so that everyone would see it! Its heart breaking so grab a tissue!
Will You give this to my Daddy?

As a Company, Southwest Airlines is going to support 'Red Fridays.'

Last week I was in Atlanta , Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed One of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving thru the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camos. As they began heading to their gate, everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering.

When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and Cheered for, it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red-blooded American who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families.

Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal.

Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our Service men and women, a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old ran up to one of the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said 'hi..'

The little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy for her...

The young soldier, who didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself, said he would try and what did she want to give to her daddy. Then suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

The mother of the little girl, who said her daughter's name was Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Marine and had been in Iraq for 11 months now. As the mom was explaining how much her daughter Courtney missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up.

When this temporarily single mom was done explaining her situation, all of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second.. Then one of the other servicemen pulled out a military-looking walkie-talkie. They started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he told me to give this to you.' He then hugged this little girl that he had just met and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He finished by saying 'your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and he is coming home very soon.'

The mom at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the young soldier stood to his feet, he saluted Courtney and her mom. I was standing no more than 6 feet away from this entire event.

As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people resumed their applause. As I stood there applauding and looked around, there were very few dry eyes, including my own. That young soldier in one last act of selflessness turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney with a tear rolling down his cheek.

We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day, it's good to be an American.

RED FRIDAYS ----- Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to be called the 'silent majority'. We are no longer silent, and are voicing our love for God, country and home in record breaking numbers.

Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this Friday - and continues each and every Friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that.. Every red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar will wear something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers.

If every one of us who loves this country will share this with acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family. It will not be long before the USA is covered in RED.
The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to make things better for you?' is....We need your support and your prayers.

Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example.

IF YOU AGREE -- THEN SEND THIS ON.

IF YOU COULD CARE LESS, THEN HIT THE DELETE BUTTON --- IT IS YOUR CHOICE
I WILL BE WEARING RED ON FRIDAYS FROM NOW ON!

Another New Day

By FlaGal - on May 15, 2009
Posted in FlaGal

Hello all....

Well it is another new day...still trying to figure out what to do. Started the day out in the usual fashion, sending out resumes to all the relevant new jobs that were posted on the job boards that I qualify for; they seem to be getting less and less.

Each day gets me closer to deadlines for the creditors or farther away from the deadlines depending upon which ones I am speaking of.  So far I have been able to keep the power, phone/internet and water on so I guess I am very lucky there.

When I woke up this morning, I decided to count my blessings instead of dweling on what I don't have, it has seemed to make a difference in how I am viewing the day so far.  I don't know where the money will come from yet but I am hopeful that something will give and it won't be me.

I am still waiting for any ideas or suggestions from anyone out there on aid page if you have any, please and thank you.  Until then, God bless.

I have the same problem. Disabilty, Tenncare, none of it will cover ANY dental. I also have teeth that have broken and falling apart,  causing me untold other health issues. I will let you know if I find any answer and hope you will do the same. There has to be something out there for this.

Got some help with teeth.

<>My name is Frederick Wirkus.
I would like to say a special thank you to Donated Dental Services, for their help with my teeth.  They made it possibal for me to get the impacted teeth worked on.  Although I still have teeth wrotted in my mouth, they did help me to get rid of the one that was infected. Thank you again for that!

<><><>Living on a very low income of less than $8000 a year gives us no money for such luxuries as teeth.  We have a hard enough time trying to buy medicines And food.  So, getting my teeth fixed is like a miracle!  I have been disabled with M.S. for 6 years now, so we are used to living cheap. I want you folks to know we don't waste money on things like trips or clothes, or even going out to eat. We are not wasteful. We recycle our rubbish! I tell you this so you know whem we recieve help, it is not wasted or abused!

Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
